It’s a Picnic

You Are Invited to Our Summer Picnic!

on Sunday September 17, 2023

from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm

at Forest Home Farms

The picnic is hosted by the San Ramon Valley Historical Society partnering with the San Ramon Historic Foundation.  We will be in the old walnut barn.

This year it is a potluck picnic.  The SRVHS and SRHF will provide hotdogs (San Ramon Historic Foundation folks will BBQ!) and there will be soda and water available.  Bring a side dish or dessert to share.  You may bring your own beer or wine.

It is a great chance to visit friends and meet new ones!

Forest  Home Farms is located at 19953 SRV Blvd. in San Ramon between Bollinger Canyon and Alcosta. Park in the lot close to SRV Blvd.  Follow the path between the Boone house and the Welcome Center to the barn.  If you have mobility limitations, park in the paved area close to the barn.

Please RSVP by September 8th

by email to

or call Julia Oseland at 925 639 2029

Give us your name(s), a way to contact you, the number in your party and tell us what food item(s) you will bring.  Don’t everyone bring desserts.  Your MD probably already tells you to cut down on salt and sugar.  A variety of dishes will be welcomed by all.

There will be a short presentation at 1:00 pm followed by Q & A.

Since many of you are from historic families or have lived here a long time, consider responding to the following questions:

  • What has changed for the better in the SRV during your lifetime?
  • What impacted you the most while growing up here?
  • What is your favorite memory growing up here?
