The Boone House and family farm was left to the city of San Ramon, both as a park to enjoy, and to preserve local agricultural history for future generations.  The Glass Home, also left to the city, was moved to the Boone property and restored as a museum.  Both houses have been placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Department of the Interior, and are encompassed within Forest Home Historic Park.  The Park is operated by the City of San Ramon and the San Ramon Historic Foundation.  The SRVHS Plaque (10) of the San Ramon Area is displayed in the Welcome Center.
